Little Woolden Moss

Description
Wetland restoration and access improvement works. Footpath installation across Mossland. Including scrub removal and ditch reprofile works

Client Testimonial
Redfox went the extra mile using their experience and skill to complete the works well within time and to a really high standard. This was especially impressive due to the adverse weather conditions which they had to endure and the boggy nature of our site. They are a great company to work with, professional with a quality outcome everytime.

Wetland Restoration Works

Description
Peat bund creation and rewetting works. Including pond excavation, pile dams and plygene installation.

Client Testimonial
Redfox delivered a range of habitat creation and enhancement work for the Woodland Trust and Carbon Landscape at New Moss Wood including restoring an area of peat bog, creating new ponds, clearing ditches and tree and vegetation management work. The project was made more challenging due to extremely wet weather conditions at the time, however they completed the work and restored the paths afterwards to leave the site looking better than ever. The team were great to work with and happy to adapt to any changes we made to the work specification. They did an excellent job delivering the project.

Wetland Creation and Enhancement Works

Description
Creation of over 20 interlinked wildlife ponds and marginal flood plains.

Client Testimonial
The plan Redfox worked to was drawn up by our wetland specialist and Redfox had a very good grasp of the plans, what was required and a good understanding of the watercourses they were to work on. The team were understanding of what Natural England was trying to achieve and how to go about this in the best way to reduce travel on site and how best to use and move the spoil around. The team obviously has plenty of experience and this is so valuable to projects like this and you know you can rely on them. If there were any changes the team thought we might prefer, they soon mentioned this enabling them to fine-tune the plans for the better. They worked well with all the levels and this now looks just about right. The work finished on time and since then water levels in the various pools has been excellent, even throughout the 6 weeks of drought time in spring, but it’s also coped very well with the heavy down pours we’ve had. It’s looking even better now the vegetation is recovering and I’m looking forward to seeing this develop over the next winter and next few years. It was a pleasure to have Redfox on site I enjoyed talking to them and valued their knowledge and skills, it makes a big difference on this kind of work. I would have no hesitation in giving them more contracts if the opportunity arose.
